Commonwealth Bank Supports The Fight Against Cancer

Sydney X 2002: The Commonwealth Bank is joining with the Akta-vite Campfires Against Cancer Appeal by making available its branches Australia-wide for the receipt of public donations.

As part of the Commonwealth Bank's strong support of important medical research projects aimed at finding a cure for cancer. The Bank has also joined together the Breast Cancer Institute of Australia, Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia, Children's Cancer Institute of Australia, ANZAC Health and Medical Research Foundation and more recently joined with leading Australian band Powderfinger and the Queensland Institute of Medical Research to raise money to extend the "Lifelab" cancer research trials to more terminally ill patients across Australia.

The Bank welcomes donations from the public at any one of its branches across Australia. Donations can also be made over the internet through the Bank's internet banking site, NetBank.  Account details for donations follow:
