G’day my name is Colin Mitchell. I was born in Corowa NSW to Murray and Marie Mitchell. Murray was and is still known as an excellent horse breaker and master. Marie was a chicken farmer and a great mentor. My father was struck with cancer 15 years ago. He beat it! And is still going strong.

I have worked for Uncle Toby’s for 20 years bringing up my two children Mandy & Michael with help from my mother Marie. I have spent 14 years with Zone 20 Pony Club Camp and have assisted at Pony Club for at least 20 years.

I spent three years at Bundoora Station as a Station Hand and spent two years droving in the Riverina area. I believe that my knowledge and expertise of cattle will be an excellent asset to this ride.

When Danny and Ian invited me to participate in this ride it I seen it as a great opportunity to assist fund raising for cancer research, as I have never really done anything of great importance for charity. When planning for this ride everything just seemed to fall in place so that I could take part of this epic journey.

I guess I will be known as the jack of all trades but master of none. Just ask me and I can tell you!

P.S. Take me as you find me. I am what I am.

Have a nice day.
