(Ian's folks!)
Bruce is a highly skilled farrier, and fitter than most blokes half his age. He has a rural background and will be looking after our horses feet, driving one of our escort vehicles, assisting with fundraising and keeping the camp ship-shape!

Dale has the unenviable task of being head camp chef - and will be in charge of the nutritional intakes of Dan, Ian and the rest of the team.  In addition, she will also assist the other team members with fund-raising projects.

'Above me are my highest aspirations, I may never reach them but must always strive to perform my best'.

As we travel along life’s highway there are many paths we may select to go along. The ones we choose take us many different directions, through unknown territory; sometimes the going is smooth and sometimes difficult.

The people we meet throughout life are also on their journey and together we learn about joy and sorrow. By helping one another we gather strength, comradeship and the discipline to make life worthwhile.

To become involved with Campfires Against Cancer was not a hard decision to make, as knowing Ian not only as a son, but a man with great conviction in his beliefs, and Danny who I have watched grow into a dedicated and knowledgeable young man. I know the challenge they have set themselves will be a great success.

Very few people will travel life's road without being touched directly with someone with cancer. To raise money for research is an urgent priority so we are pleased to be able to contribute our services in this way. 'Look ahead without fear - Look back without regret
