I am Yola (Bear) Cox from Tooma. A cattle breeder, horse lover and mother of three wonderful girls Nicky, Pippa and Sarah. I have a very supportive hard working husband, Rob, and we live on the most beautiful property in the Upper Murray district at the base of the Snowy Mountains.

I was born on a sheep farm near Geelong and spent my childhood riding horses along the beaches and through neighbouring farms. I completed my nursing training at The Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne and then travelled with Rob for two years overseas on a working honeymoon where we had a great time and learnt a lot.

Home again to Australia where we finally settled at Tooma on a very run down property. We have enjoyed our years planting trees, improving pastures and building
up our cattle numbers, plus raising three very healthy and naturally hard working girls who appreciate life and make the most of every day.

My hobbies are horses and I am enjoying learning all about Natural Horsemanship studying the Parelli Levels Program - which I am a true convert To. I have spent quite a bit of time riding and exploring our bush and mountain areas, and appreciating our Australian heritage.

I am very lucky to have this opportunity to help others and I dedicate this ride to my friends who I have mentioned on the tribute page and to those others who cannot be with us. We need all the support and sponsorship we can get to help us on our long journey, and we are all looking forward to raising money for such a wonderful cause.

Please help in any way you can. I will be a rider, and helping with promotions not to mention enjoying the campfires at night - and appreciating every sunset and sunrise.

I am grateful for assistance that has benn offered me by Victoria Furguson Equine Herbalist www.herbalhorse.com and also Pat Parelli from Parelli Natural Horse mastering www.parelli.com.au Without the personal sponsorship from these people my participation in the ride may not be possible.
